Inserting a Special Character in Excel 2007
Inserting a special character like Euros(€) etc. is really easy in Excel .
There are hundreds of special characters which includes currency characters , special characters and some foreign letters can be inserted in to the Excel sheet .
To insert the Special character , follow the below steps
- Click into the cell where you want to insert a special character
- Click Symbol in the Text group of the Insert tab.
- A dialog opens up where you can select the character to be inserted , Click insert button to insert the character and close .

Also note the value inside the cell and the what is displayed , the formula fields ignores the special fields
Check the formatting of the cell by right clicking on the cell .
You might find that the currency format is applied to the cell . Smart isnt it ??
