Automatically insert a decimal point in Excel 2010
Do you want to insert a decimal point in Excel 2010 by default when you enter a number in the cell ? You can do it easily in Excel 2010 .
You can turn on this feature by checking the option “Automatically Insert a Decimal Point” in the Excel Options .
Then you can select the number of decimal places . and click ok .

Now when you enter a numeric value inside the cell for example 123 , it will be considered as 1.23 .
If the number should not contain any decimal places , you can simply insert a period at the end of the value like 123. which will be represented as 123 .
