Microsoft has published the Conversion Translator Add-In for Microsoft Lync 2010 Getting started Guide which can be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center .
A Lync extension enables the users speaking different languages to IM easily in their own native language but also understand each other .
With Conversation Translator, both the sender and receiver can converse in their native language, and Conversation Translator handles the translation. Powered by the Microsoft Translator Web Service, Conversation Translator currently supports translation between 35 languages.
