Windows 8 Start Menu Toggle to Enable and Disable Metro UI Start Screen
In one of my previous post , i mentioned about the hack that disables the Metro UI start Menu in Windows 8 Developer Preview.
Well , this might work , but it is pretty dangerous to modify something in the registry directly .
With in few days of the release of the Windows 8 Developer Preview , there are some third party tools that are already available for Windows 8 Developer Preview .
One of them includes Windows 8 Start Menu Toggle , a tool for Windows 8 that enables or disables the metro ui start screen in just one click .
To Toggle between the Metro Start Menu and the Windows 7 start menu , just launch the Windows 8 Start Menu Toggle .
When you run the tool for the first time , the tool will prompt you to download and install .NET 3.5.1 runtime and once it is installed .you should be able to use the tool .
Note that Sometimes it might be necessary to logoff and login in after toggling the Start Menu .
