How To Enable Hyper-V Manager In Windows 8 ?
The Windows 8 includes a new feature called Microsoft Virtualization manager and hypervisor .
What is Hyper-V ?
Microsoft Hyper-V was earlier named as Viridian or Windows Server Virtualization is a hypervisor-based virtualization system for x86-64 systems. Its a Kind of Virtualization technique that runs multiple guest operating systems on the host .
This feature was included in Windows Server 2008 .
The Windows 8 Developer Preview comes with this optionĀ disabled .But , dont worry . You can enable it via Control Panel .
How To Enable Hyper-V Manager In Windows 8 ?
1. Open control panel from the Windows 8 Metro UI start screen .
2. Click More Settings . This will open the classic Windows 7 style control panel .
3. Click Program and Features
4. In the Program and Features Windows , Click “turn Windows features on or off” in the left panel .
5. Now , in the Windows Features , check the Hyper-V , Hyper-V Core , Hyper-V Management Tools and Click OK
6.The Windows 8 will start applying the changes to the features . Restart the machine .
7. After the machine restarts , you should see the Hyper-v Manager shortcut tiles on Windows 8 Metro Start screen .
